Summer is in full swing at the library. Come join us for summer reading, kids programs, the conversation hour, computers, e-books, and Wi-Fi.
Summer officially began at the library last Friday, June 10. And we have been busy! Here are some statistics to make you go wow:
- Over 50 adults have signed up for Adult Summer Reading. Only the first 100 get a free book bag and pen.
- Over 150 kids have already signed up for Kids' Summer Reading. You get a free book when you sign up.
- So many people tried to use the Wi-Fi on Monday (over 150 in 24 hours) that we had to readjust the settings so more folks can go on everyday.
- Nine folks came to Conversation Hour on Tuesday night to practice their English and Spanish. And we have room for more.
- Over 1,000 people came to the library on Monday alone.
Notice I didn't even mention all the great books and movies. Or the air conditioning, now that it looks like it might warm up a bit. So yes, it's only the first week of summer and we're busy. Why not come down and join in all the fun?
