Welcome to Adult Services!
Learn about the services, programs, and materials especially for our adult patrons.
The Adult Services program occupies the main area of the library, with an emphasis on books, online tools, computers, and personalized assistance at the Adult Services desk. Adult Services librarians also offer programs and classes, book selection and delivery for homebound patrons, and Inter-Library Loan for patrons who need materials outside of our 18-library cooperative.
Adult Services Collection
The Adult Services collection features current popular nonfiction, general fiction, genre fiction (Mystery, Western, and SF/Fantasy) and large print books. There are large magazine, DVD, and music CD collections, as well as local history resources like the Woodburn Independent newspaper. The library has access to thousands of downloadable audiobooks and electronic books, as well as access to online research and life-long learning tools.
Because Woodburn is a multicultural community, the library has comprehensive collections in English, Spanish and Russian.
Adult Services Desk
Librarians are available at the Adult Services desk during all library hours to assist you with anything from simple questions to complex searches. Librarians can help you find books, work with computers, or search for information on the Internet or in one of our specialized online search tools, such as Ancestry.com or the Auto Repair Reference Center. You can call the Adult Services desk at 503-982-5252.
Computers and Wireless Internet
Our public computers are available during all open hours. We have 14 computers which provide Internet access and Microsoft Office programs. All patrons get 60 minutes per day of computer time. Our reservation system requires a library card for computer use. Out-of-area visitors can book a computer at the Adult Services desk by showing out-of-area identification. The library also offers free wireless Internet access, and wireless printing. For more information about the library computers, rules of use, and printing, please see our Compter Use and Wi-Fi Access policies.

These range in size from the Multi-purpose Room (for groups of 50 and smaller), the Carnegie Room (for groups of 30 and smaller), and the Conference Room (for small groups of 6 or less). These rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and in accordance with the library's Meeting Room Use Policy. For more information, contact Paulette Zastoupil at 503-982-5264.
