Welcome to the Teen Lounge
Are you in middle school or high school? Then you'll want to visit the Teen Lounge. There's comfy seating, tables to do homework, and a little privacy. NO ADULTS ALLOWED. There's current teen fiction, manga and other graphic novels, anime, and a whole section of books just for homework assignments. Keep reading to learn more about programs and services for teens at the library.
Friday Afternoon Programs
The library hosts three teen programs each month after school on Fridays (around 3:30pm til the library closes at 5pm). Contact librarian Elvira Sanchez-Kisser at 503-982-5252 or elvira.sanchez-kisser@ci.woodburn.or.us for more information.
1st Friday Afternoons: GAMING
The library hosts a Teen Game event on the first Friday afternoon of each month to play Wii games, card and board games. Bring a new game to introduce to the group. Meet in the Multi-purpose room; snacks and prizes will be provided.
2nd Friday Afternoons: TEEN ADVISORY GROUP
Come be a part of the Teen Advisory Group and give us your opinion on books and videos you would like the library to buy. You can also help with Teen projects and programs. Meets the second Friday of the month in the Multi-Purpose room from 4-5pm; snacks and prizes will be provided.
3rd Friday Afternoons: ANIME
The library hosts a Teen Anime event on the third Friday afternoon of each month. Come talk about your favorite anime or manga, watch some videos, and bring some to share. Meet in the Multi-Purpose room; snacks and prizes will be provided.

You've Got Questions? We've Got Books.
Most teens have questions. Questions about what life is about, what's normal, or how things are supposed to be. Click on the links below to see books that are available in the library to answer those major life questions. Most of the books are nonfiction, but there are also some newer novels and DVDs. Sometimes you can learn a lot from a fictional character who's going through the same thing you are.
